At the suggestion of other reviewers, we parked in the Whitaker Garage right next door to the hotel. After reading the negative reviews I was nervous but we decided to give it a chance. We recently spent 3 nights at the Hotel Indigo in Savannah and we enjoyed our stay. However, we would not stay here again unless the overall quality improves.… On the positive side, the location is great, there is complimentary coffee in the morning, and the price was low compared to other hotels. The breakfast food was not very good and options were limited. We tried to enjoy the hotel bar after check in, but it was staffed by only one bartender and service was extremely slow on a busy night. The walls were not very clean, there was no hand soap, the shower water pressure was weak, the towels were small and worn and the beds were not super comfortable. Another couple had to be moved due to a strong odor of cleaning solution that was so bad it was hard to breathe. They felt it was one of the worst hotel experiences ever. When they arrived back the next day, they were told by a hotel employee that they should have been able to access their rooms the prior night. because the system was down and the front desk personnel said they couldn't give them their pre-checked in rooms. Our experience was average at best, but 3 couples in our group waited over 3 hours upon arrival to only be moved to another hotel at 1 a.m. We were with a group of 7 couples and the experiences ranged from worst hotel ever to average at best. We stayed at Hotel Indigo Savannah for 3 nights, Feb 9th-12th. This hotel looked nice but the service was a big let down… Be careful as it is $45 a day for parking and the only option is valet. The shower has no pressure and you need to be careful not to crash into toilet when getting out. I have never had to go collect towels myself. There was only 3 towels in the room and when I rang to ask for another towel I was told there is some at the front desk and I need to come and collect.
Indigo rain bed and breakfast upgrade#
We tried to pay extra to upgrade but we were told not possible. The bathroom is tiny and sink is in the bedroom area. Don’t book the standard room for a family as with 2 adults and 2 kids you could not fit with luggage. The cost for eggs, bacon and toast was $20 so with drinks you are already over the $40 for 2 people. The staff in the restaurant could not get our orders right, there was lipstick on all the coffee cups and breakfast was barely edible. We booked the hotel with breakfast included and upon check in were given a $40 voucher to use in the restaurant for breakfast.
