The seat backs were all curved, which was can be difficult to duplicate when the originals are completely rotted. Unfortunately, the boat needed significant woodwork, foam work, as well as repair work to the floor under the captain's chairs. It was very important to the owner to keep the original look of the boat which meant that we needed to duplicate the current design perfectly. It's a unique situation when you have an older boat with its original interior and only one owner, so there is a lot of sentimental value to the project. What is unique or complex about the project? The job was finished with a new ratchet strap travel cover with contrasting thread. We worked with Tammy Scott with Twisted Threads to have the correct logo embroidered on the bow cushion seat backs. This involved new wood and foam for some of the pieces, as well as reconstructive work on the flooring.
